Our staff and working with us

We’re very selective when it comes to choosing the right people to work in the MidCoast Assist team. And for very good reason! Outside of their professional qualifications and experience, some of our key criteria are a warm and friendly approach, and a commitment to providing outstanding, person-centred care and support.

Staff profiles

In this section of our website, we’ll feature some of the amazing people from across the MidCoast Assist team.

Christine Ellis, Active and Older Program Team Leader, Ageing Services

Having joined MidCoast Assist in December 2013, I love coming to work every day to help make a difference in the lives of our clients, and to support my team members.

The challenge of trying to find the most interesting outings and activities for our clients is something I really enjoy, along with supporting our centre for people with dementia and their carers. I'm using knowledge I gain from my studies to help them be active and happy.

When I'm not working, I'm either relaxing on Dumaresq Island, watching Netflix, doing my study or practising bagpipes! I also like to travel as much as I can. The Dalai Lama said you need to see somewhere new every year. (Israel, Iran, India and Africa are next on my list).

Sally Randall, Social and Community Engagement Coordinator, Disability Services

Sally-Randall.png

I have worked at MidCoast Assist since August 2017, firstly as a support worker, then in the office as a Support Connections Officer and Community Connections Officer, and now as the Social and Community Engagement Coordinator.

Working here gives me the opportunity to help make a difference in the lives of so many people. It's incredibly rewarding. Everyday at work, I feel appreciated by our participants and carers. They always put a smile on my face, and I'm so proud of the relationships that I've built with them.

My most memorable moment so far was assisting a 65 year participant who fell through the cracks to get an NDIS plan. After countless phone calls and emails I was able to attain them a plan that will make the world of difference to the rest of his life. In my free time I love going to the gym, reading and spending time with my family and friends.

"We would like to express our appreciation to Sally Randall who has gone above and beyond with assisting our family through the busy and demanding lives we have. All of her hard efforts greatly eased the pressure. Her diligence in organising our boy’s support has always been timely, quick and responsive. When I was extremely busy and overlooked things, Sally was promptly on top of everything. She needs to be commended for her outstanding work ethics..." Leanne and Aaron Kemp.
