Assisting Carers

assisting carers

We recognise that the important role carers play in helping their loved ones can be physically and emotionally challenging.

That’s why our friendly, local team of professionals offer care for carers!

As well as providing support for people who take care of a loved one on an ongoing basis, we bring carers together to share information, tips and ideas, for emotional support, and to spend time with people who really understand. Our Carer Support program includes:

  • Meetings with other carers
  • Tips and ideas to support you
  • A confidential place to talk
  • Companionship
  • Access to information and resources
  • Group outings
Our carer support groups and activities bring together men and women of all ages and backgrounds who have common experiences. The groups generally meet once a month for morning tea of lunch.
We also run groups for people supporting someone with dementia or memory loss in both Forster and Tea Gardens.
If you're a carer and would like to know more, please call our friendly team on 1300 65 88 30 or contact us using the online enquiry form.
